Annandale
Annandale, designated as a Multiple Use Protected Area at the national level, covers 2.43 km2 and is a captivating natural gem. Situated as the headwaters of a significant tributary to the Beausejour River and adjacent to the Grand Etang Forest Reserve, Annandale Forest Reserve spans elevations from 250 meters to the 700-meter ridge line, sharing bedrock and soil resources with its neighboring reserve.
This picturesque landscape features a stunning cascade surrounded by a lush garden of vibrant blooms and tropical foliage. The 30-foot waterfall, fed by mountainous streams, cascades over a rocky outcrop into a sparkling emerald pool beneath. Annandale invites visitors to enjoy light and relaxed swimming amid this scenic beauty. The site also boasts the Wild Orchid Restaurant and Bar, offering a delightful open-plan setting with gorgeous views of the waterfall.
