Enhancing Caribbean Development Using Data, Geospatial information, and Environmental Monitoring: Building a Regional Environmental Information System (REIS)

This side event highlighted the pivotal role of digital technologies, authoritative data, and geospatial information in advancing environmental and developmental initiatives and aiding sound decision-making across the Caribbean. Dr. Julian Walcott, Technical Officer of the CPAG, served as a panellist at this event. He provided an overview of the Caribbean Protected Areas Gateway (CPAG) and how the CPAG will fit into the OECS’ Regional Environmental Information System. A summary of the event can be viewed here.
